Sales tax and exemptions

You may have noticed that your Litmus invoice includes a sales tax charge where appropriate. Some states require taxes to be collected on Software as a Service (SaaS) products and while previously it was up to individual customers to file sales tax on their own, we have now taken on the responsibility to collect and remit sales tax.

To add or update the address that Litmus uses to apply sales tax to your account, please contact our billing team.

Tax exemption

Some nonprofit, educational, and other entities may have tax-exempt status. If your organization is tax-exempt, please provide a copy of your tax exemption form to our billing team.

Note: For eligible nonprofit organizations we are also happy to provide a 25% discount. Please reach out to our support team with your non-profit organization's website and appropriate authorization documentation to start your subscription.

European customers

Litmus is a U.S.-based company, and as such, our invoices do not include Value Added Tax (VAT).

For customers located in the European Union (EU) or other regions where VAT applies, the reverse charge mechanism should be considered. Under European VAT legislation, this means that the responsibility for reporting and paying VAT shifts to the buyer.
