Using Email Analytics with Campaign Monitor
You can add a Litmus tracking code to your email in Campaign Monitor with a few steps between the two platforms.
Prepare your email in CM
Import an HTML file and a zip of any image and CSS files related to your email, either uploaded from your computer or imported from a web-based campaign site.
Create your Litmus tracking code
In Litmus, select the Analytics tab in the top menu, choose Tracking code manager in the left menu pane, and then set up your tracking code.
Be sure to select Campaign Monitor as your ESP so the default [contactid] parameter is included.
Customize your tracking code with date range, custom parameters, and analytics tags as needed. When finished, hover over the code block and Click to copy your tracking code's HTML.
Finish in Campaign Monitor
Scroll down to the Content section of your imported campaign page and choose the Edit HTML link to work in your project's code.
Copy and paste the tracking code from Litmus here. While we recommend placing the tracking code by the closing </body> tag of your email, or as close to the bottom of your template as possible, it can be placed anywhere between the <body> tags.
