Add a custom TTF font
If you would like to use a custom font, you can upload a font file (TTF files are supported). In the Counter text or Digit styling sections, choose the Upload font link on the right. You can upload different fonts for each area!
NOTE: Your custom font name will appear in the list with the same file name you upload.
Once your font has been uploaded, you can select it from the Font family dropdown under the Text style section. Your uploaded font will be available in the Custom fonts section of the list and will be available to use in any other widget that has custom font capability.
Preview and test
Select the green Next: Preview your interest signal button in the upper right corner when you are finished with your customizations. If you included a display threshold, you'll see that noted at the top of the test pane. Test the look by entering any numbers into the test field to see the layout from below or above your threshold. These tests do not affect your code!
If you want to make any changes, choose the Back to editing button. If you're satisfied with the interest signal, select Next: Save and get HTML in the upper right corner. Your tag code will be generated! You can copy the tag using the Copy HTML button below the code box. You can also copy a replacement code to capture clicks for the same tracked URL anywhere else in your email. Your new item will appear in the Interest signals library in your account so if you don't need the code right away, you can copy it from there later. NOTE: The replacement code for URLs in your email is not included with HTML copied from your library. However, you can use the https://click.XXXXX portion of the copied tag code. |
Add an interest signal to your email
To add an interest signal to your email, copy the code generated and add it to your email's HTML. You can quickly copy the tag by hovering over the sentiment tracker's thumbnail and selecting Copy HTML. Add the code in Litmus Builder or anywhere you develop your emails!
Any interest signal that is in development with show a Draft badge in the upper right corner of its thumbnail. Draft signals do not have HTML available to copy and can still be edited. You can edit the title of any interest signal in your library.
View your interest signal click data
Hover over a thumbnail in the Interest signals section of the Personalize tab and select View report to see click data for your interest signal. |
The report will display the total number of clicks your interest signal has recorded, regardless of the link source (your interest signal image or the replacement link in your email content).
NOTE: Your report thumbnail reflects your click threshold so the badge or bar will not appear on it if your clicks are below that setting.
Impression usage
An interest tracker uses one image and you can include multiple interest signals in any email. Each individual interest signal appearing in your email will use one impression for each open.
NOTE: Impressions usage limits vary based on your subscription. Learn more about usage limits and how impressions are counted to make sure you understand how your tag will impact your usage!
Apple Mail Privacy Protection (MPP)
When an email is sent to an inbox with MPP enabled, email images are automatically downloaded and cached. The cached images are then displayed when the email is opened. Due to this, interest signals will display the counts as they were at the time of your send for users with MPP enabled.
We recommend staggering your sends when using interest signals. This will allow a click count to be gathered before the images are cached for segments of your subscribers. MPP-impacted opens count towards impression usage.
